APAB Accessibility
Guidance Services

Created by the Independent Living Center of North Shore and Cape Ann, Inc, (ILCNSCA), All People Accessible Business (APAB) project is a service designed to guide businesses to become more accessible and available to a broader customer base and to commend community businesses that are accessible and inclusive.

ILCNSCA trained volunteer surveyors will conduct accessibility surveys based on the Massachusetts Accessibility Regulations (521 CMR), and the federal accessibility guidelines of the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidance (ADAAG).

If the business seems to be accessible according to the completed survey results, it will receive an APAB designation as "All People Accessible", and also be listed on ILCNSCA's APAB webpage. If a business is not found to be fully accessible, it can receive further technical assistance from ILCNSCA for compliance guidance.

Through APAB, ILCNSCA will promote businesses that are accessible in order to enable the public to make informed choices regarding which businesses best meet their needs.

The suggested donation for APAB services is a $200 minimum tax free donation (FEIN: 042949473).
